Australia - Animals
I went to Sydney for a few weeks. This post, along with one more to come, shows some aspects of what I encountered. This post is about animals. I could write a lot about invertebrates (cockroaches and spiders in particular) but I am in a good mood so I will skip that. You won't find any koalas or kangaroos here, either.

Sunsets in Ikaria
I recently visited the crazy Greek island of Ikaria... Friendly advice: never go out at night without your sunglasses. It is not much fun without them after the sunrise. :)

Another winged friend
A cicada landed on my balcony the other day, some time after a bee had done the same. Here is a picture of him (he was about as long as my thumb):
